Here’s another reason why Sarah Palin failed as Sen. John McCain’s 2008 vice presidential running mate: The whole “hockey mom” thing that was supposed to win over soccer moms flopped.
A new report from the authoritative American Politics Research journal finds that her story of being a mom of five hockey playing kids held no appeal to the rest of parents. “Palin fared particularly poorly among married mothers,” it said, because her candidacy “did not hold any special appeal to mothers or fathers.”
And on Election Day, added the journal, “Mothers, like women overall, were a very solid Democratic voting block in 2008.”
It’s just the latest review of her candidacy that describes just what a mistake McCain’s pick from left field was, a nomination that the Republican Party and Mitt Romney promise they won’t repeat.

I can think of a lot of reasons why she flopped with mothers.
1.She was no longer a hockey mom
2.She claimed to be a PTA mom yet hadn't attended a PTA meeting in 10 years
3.She dragged her kids on the campaign trail instead of sending them to school
4.She told a whopper of how she delivered Trig
5.Troopergate
And since 2008 she has been an ever bigger dud with moms

Palin also lost badly in a poll vs. Michelle Obama, our respected First Lady, when readers were asked who was the better mother. It was sponsored by USA Today in either 2010 or 2011.

But that says more about the publication USAToday, than it does about the American public.
Sometimes words fail me when I try to write a coherent sentence about how severely dysfunctional Sarah Palin is. The difficulty is getting the message across without sounding crazy, because nobody believes that she's really that mental. One of my coworkers laughed at me, saying, "Come on! None of that can be true! She was a governor!" I said: "I can go into a patient's room for the first time, spend 45 minutes getting them ready for surgery, and come out and tell you that a patient has huge problems, and you have no problem believing that. I tell you that I"ve spent over 3 years reading about Sarah, watching videos, reading her speeches, and she is severely dysfunctional, probably bipolar, with a personality disorder, and probably a learning disability as well- and you won't believe that 3 years of research support that?" And her only answer was, "she was a governor. People would have noticed."

Don't feel so bad about coherent sentences. It took 7 yrs for Sarah Palin to get a journalism degree and she can't even speak a coherent sentence. Your doing just fine. By the way Sarah Palin was and is a poor example of a parent. She should of dropped out of the elections as soon as her daughter let it be known that she was pregnant. But of of with Sarah Palin it's always about her, her, her. I would have been embrassed to have my unwed daughter on stage while preaching family values. Believe me had that been an Obama daughter hell would have to be paid. Republicans wouldn't go for that.

It also isn't difficult for Moms to see that she is an opportunistic liar, that she is supremely uneducated and/or just plain stupid.

9/11, on the other hand, horrifies me and makes my mind snap.
Sarah appalls me and scares me, but recently it seems most people finally see her for the fraud she is.
I will not ever let Babygate out of my mind, though, until she has been outed.

I agree with what every reputable news agency and publication concludes about 9/11. In other words, I agree with almost everything reported about 9/11. You don´t. Why?
Many good men and good women gave their lives for our country because they believe what I believe about 9/11.
Why do you believe they died in vain?
palin took advantage of the opportunity to cash in - she didn't care about her daughter then and she certainly doesn't now. She didn't care about any of her family but most especially the kids.
ReplyDeleteThe First Lady exudes warmth and sincerity - so does the prez - that's not something you can fake. The proof is obvious with the way palin tried to create a motherhood persona - it fell flat because you can't fake being a warm, loving mother.
She's a cold, vindictive and self serving opportunist. Her kids behavior absolutely reflects the type of parenting they grew up with. Her daughter has had multiple pregnancies, son in trouble with the law as well as Willow's destructive incidents - Piper out of school more often than in - Piper's behavior at school - none of them graduating - none of them choosing college.
Compare her mess of a family with the Obamas as well as the Clintons. If the Obamas daughters showed up pregnant or in trouble with the law - the backlash would've been awful and we all know that.
As far as I'm concerned, the palins are trailer trash with a lot more hidden secrets than any of us know. The only reason they havent' been exposed and brought up on charges is because the GOP has taken huge steps to protect them from justice - only because it serves them to hide this mess of a woman than allow the American public to see the awful choice they made.
I for one am so sick of hearing about the palins and their pathetic 15 minutes - she's a mother skank with no sense of shame or respect.

A supposed civil war was one of the many many many tragedies of this. Nevermind, this particular racism is still strong in america against Black people (and all peoples of color)

In american history: The USS Liberty story. The american government sacrificed its own men for the tiny nation of Israel and that story in its entirety still being hushed up. America still sending billions yearly to this tiny warring nation at the expense of its own nation's health, education and welfare.
In american history: Still, yet to be told infamies, crimes, obfuscations, corruptions of its government - all at the expense, expediency and sacrifice of its own citizens.
In american history: In the year 2008, an aging national high ranking politician running for president picked as his running mate, a woman who did not have the experience, education, diplomacy or intelligence, to serve, if elected, even as vice president, but who being a heartbeat away from said presidency, would have taken the nation down in all the ways it could be done. Just as a candidate & running mate, due to her mental instability combined with a religious fanaticism not unlike any religious fanatic anywhere on the globe, and combined with a deep seated racism, divided the american nation in such a deleterious manner that people died from her expressions of hatred and mental aberration. The country is still, and will be for some time to come, unhealed and cannot said to be "recovered" to date.
AMERICA is not "exceptional". It has produced a national shame in how it operates and what it values. sarah palin & family is its red flag symptom of deep instability, corruption, greed and criminality. A nobody without character or values was set to lead this nation. Time for out and out introspection - self soul searching america.

ReplyDeleteI posted a conspiracy theory about Sarah Palin and Jared Loughner, that she actually had a hand in the shooting and Bristol was an unknowingly complicit in it. Unfortunately it recieved a lot of blowback to the point where I removed it.
