  2. why would they have court dates set up for October? Isn't that far off? The 3rd, 4th, 5th? 3 days in a row? Is that normal? I've never been through something like this.

    1. No, three days 8:30 - 5 pm is not normal for a paternity and child support action. The lawyers anticipate discord and lack of a mediated settlement, imho.

However, as the months pass, Dakota and Bristol will go through custody evaluators and then mediators who will carve out a long-term parenting plan. Then cs is figured after that, with proposed huge discounts, from the mediators, for travel. And then both parents can then argue over the discount.

So the 3 day trial dates may be reduced to one or zero if there is a settlement.

But Bristol's past has shown her to be not favorable to accommodating the father's parenting time as well as reducing cs so the dad can visit his child. Hopefully, she's more sophisticated now and understands the cs standards must be deviated from to accommodate Dakota's extraordinary travel expenses. It's not like she has a mortgage or rent, so she can afford to get much less in cs.
